PROJECT ESSENCE: ACS of switching allows to reduce essentially arcing under commutator brushes of powerful direct current motors and generators with some defects of magnetic system. Thus loading ability and efficiency of mechanisms raises.
APPLICATION AREA: Development is intended for powerful electric drives with direct current motors: mine elevating installations, electric drives of mills, powerful direct current generators. It has been introduces successfully on 2 generators of the mill 1050 of OJSC “Dneprospetsstal” (4 000 kW).
ECONOMIC INDICATORS: The cost of system - 190 thousand UAH. Implementation pays off due to reducing the number of commutator repairs. The commutator’s turnaround time has been increased from 3 months to 1 year.
